Acting Interim CEO
B Econ, Dip Ed, MBA, FCPA, FAICD, FGS (London)

Tony Bellas is a company director on a number of listed and unlisted companies, and has more than 30 years of experience across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. He currently serves as a director of three ASX-listed companies: NOVONIX Ltd, a battery materials company with operations in Queensland and overseas, State Gas Ltd, a gas exploration and development company with operations in Central Queensland, and Green & Gold Minerals Ltd, a gold and rare earth minerals exploration company with operations in North Queensland.

He has previously served as chairman of ASX-listed companies: ERM Power, Corporate Travel Management, Shine Justice and intelliHR. He was previously a non-executive director on the boards of Healthcare Logic Pty Ltd and Axon Graphite Pty Ltd.

In his executive career, Tony served as CEO of CS Energy, Ergon Energy, and Seymour Group. Prior to entering the electricity industry, he had a long career in the Queensland Treasury, rising to the rank of Deputy Under Treasurer. In 2012 he was appointed as Chair of the Independent Review Panel on Network Costs in Queensland, which provided a report to the Queensland Government on options to address the impact of network costs on electricity prices.

In 2020, Tony retired as a Director of Endeavour Foundation, one of Australia’s largest not-for-profit organisations supporting people with a disability. His 10 year service on the Board included four years as Chairman (2015 to 2019). Since 2001, Tony has served as a Director of the Brisbane State High School Foundation.

Tony was awarded the Centenary Medal in 2001 in recognition of his distinguished career in public service.

Tony was appointed as Chair of CS Energy in December 2024 and is a member of CS Energy's Performance and Investment Committee and the People, Culture and Remuneration Committee.

On 27 March 2026 he was appointed as Acting CEO of CS Energy on a temporary basis while recruitment is underway for a new Chief Executive Officer. Tony has taken a temporary Leave of Absence from the CS Energy Board (and Board committees of which he is a member) for the period he is acting in the CEO role.

Chief Operating Officer
BSc (Hon), MBA

Andrew Buswell joined CS Energy as Chief Operating Officer on 31 March 2025 to lead our operations across the company's generation fleet, aligning asset management and operational responsibilities with process safety. He leads CS Energy's key plant operations functions including operations and maintenance, engineering services and governance, overhauls, process safety, performance reliability and analytics, and health, safety and environment.

With more than 30 years of global experience in the resources and mining sectors, Andrew has consistently delivered results in operational excellence, capital projects, and asset management through leadership roles at organisations including Rio Tinto, BHP, Orica, and Xenco Mining Services.

Andrew's ability to drive innovation and operational improvements across complex industries makes him a key contributor in maximising CS Energy's assets.

Chief Financial Officer
B Bus, CA, GAICD

Cameron Collins was appointed as Chief Financial Officer in 2024 after acting in the role for 12 months. Leading the CFO division Cameron is responsible for the Finance, Enterprise Planning, Reporting and Analysis, Procurement and Digital and Technology functions.

Prior to this, Cameron was CS Energy's Head of Finance, where he was responsible for financial reporting and management accounting, budgeting and forecasting, treasury, taxation, investment governance, and finance shared services.

Cameron joined CS Energy in 2009, during which time he has developed a thorough knowledge of the energy sector and demonstrated strong commercial and financial acumen and leadership capability, which has resulted in Cameron also holding other senior leadership and executive leadership roles including Head of Risk and Compliance and Acting Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining CS Energy, Cameron held several senior finance roles working in industry across both business advisory, and audit and assurance disciplines.

Chief Corporate Services Officer
LLB, B Bus, MCPRA, MAICD

Mark Powell is a senior executive and enterprise leader who connects Board direction, government expectations and enterprise risk to the decisions that shape CS Energy's performance, licence to operate and shareholder confidence.

As Chief Corporate Services Officer and member of the Executive Leadership Team, Mark leads CS Energy's Corporate Affairs, Risk, Internal Audit, and Legal and Company Secretariat functions. He is accountable for the governance, risk, compliance and assurance frameworks that underpin disciplined decision-making across the company, and maintains CS Energy's structured engagement with government and shareholding stakeholders on material risks, strategic priorities and the company's capital and portfolio transition agenda.

Mark brings more than 20 years of cross-sector experience in enterprise governance, risk, stakeholder leadership and strategy across energy, government, financial services, professional services and consumer goods, in Australia and internationally.

At MLC Life Insurance, he led sustainability and corporate affairs, served on the steering committee for a $13 billion merger, and delivered a crisis communications response during regulatory enforcement that achieved materially lower negative sentiment than industry comparators. At PMI, he was a member of the regional Executive Leadership Team and led integrated advocacy campaigns that secured passage of national legislation and Commonwealth Budget funding for a multi-agency enforcement taskforce. At PwC in Dubai, he directed multi-year government strategy engagements for sovereign clients, including a five-year foreign investment attraction strategy for a G20 economy and ongoing advisory to the Executive Office of a Prime Minister.

A lawyer and former management consultant, Mark holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Communication and Public Relations Australia.

 

Chief Commercial Officer
LLB, GradDipLegPrac, LLM

Sophie Sangster joined CS Energy as General Counsel in 2024 and was appointed to the position of Chief Commercial Officer in October 2025, having acted in the role for two months. She is responsible for CS Energy’s trading team, retail business, commercial partnerships, joint ventures, and resources supply and plays a key leadership role in the development of our business strategy.

Sophie has 20 years’ experience in both private practice and in-house legal and commercial teams. Prior to joining CS Energy, she was Head of Commercial and Risk at an ASX-listed infrastructure contractor and has extensive experience across sectors such as government, energy, facilities services, defence, utilities, roads, transport, and major infrastructure projects.

Chief Energy Transition Officer
MEng (Oxon)

Katie Whittle joined CS Energy as Chief Energy Transition Officer in January 2026. In this role she leads the teams responsible for developing new energy generation and storage projects, and CS Energy’s corporate strategy and sustainability plan. Katie is motivated by the opportunity to strengthen CS Energy’s financial resilience and advance our future asset portfolio to support the realisation of a sustainable energy transition.

Katie joined CS Energy from Shell where she held senior executive roles with Shell and Shell joint ventures in the offshore wind, oil and gas sectors in a career that has covered roles in the UK, Europe, Africa and Australia. Her most recent role prior to joining CS Energy was General Manager, Engineering and Execution, for Shell’s Global Offshore Wind business, where she was responsible for the full lifecycle of Shell’s offshore wind capital project portfolio.

Throughout her career, Katie has led the development and delivery of major energy assets, including natural gas, offshore wind, and emerging low-carbon technologies. She is widely recognised for building inclusive, high-performing teams and cultures of trust, accountability, and collaboration. She has a strong track record in delivering complex infrastructure and energy transition initiatives and is well positioned to lead CS Energy’s transformation and contribute to our long-term growth strategy.
