Donation to LifeFlight South West Rescue Helicopter

Charitable donations

In addition to our sponsorship program, we contribute to our local communities by making charitable donations.

In FY2020, CS Energy made financial donations totalling more than $87,000 to many worthy causes such as the Children’s Hospital Foundation and bushfire relief from the Australian Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

A large proportion of our charitable donations last year were funded by proceeds from the sale of scrap metal at Kogan Creek Power Station. Nine local charities shared in one-off charitable donations including Drought Angels, LifeFlight South West Rescue Helicopter, Lifeline Darling Downs and South West, and the Country Women’s Association Public Rural Crisis Fund.

CS Energy has also participated in the BrisBAND event to help raise money for the Children's Hospital Foundation.

Six corporate bands, made up of staff from CS Energy, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, VideoPro, and Uniting Care, performed in BrisBAND3 in 2019, raising more than $40,000.

Workplace Giving

CS Energy's workplace giving program Generosity is a way for our people to give something back to the community. Since the launch of Generosity in 2008, we have raised more than $350,000 for our charity partners.

Every pay, participating staff donate from their pre-tax earnings. Charities we work with include: Angel Flight, Blue Care, The Cancer Council of Queensland, Greening Australia, Hannah’s House, the Hear and Say Centre, Capricorn Helicopter Rescue Service, Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland and the National Heart Foundation.

In FY2020 CS Energy employees donated more than $10,000 to our workplace giving charities.
