Kogan Creek Power Station

CS Energy works to minimise the impact of Kogan Creek protected action

21 Sep 2023
CS Energy is carrying out its plans to minimise the impact of protected action at Kogan Creek Power Station today.

Our first priorty is the safety of our people and the plant.

The protected action by unions involves limitations on some of the work that is routinely undertaken at the power station. In preparation for this, CS Energy has ensured that we have sufficient coal stockpiles in place so that the power station can continue generating electricity in the short to medium term and we have no critical maintenance planned during this time.

We respect the rights of union members to take protected industrial action.

CS Energy is committed to the Queensland Energy Workers Charter and providing oppportunities for our employees as the energy sector transforms over the next decade.

We look forward to reaching a new enterprise agreement that delivers certainty to our employees and a commercially sustainable future for the power station.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as relevant.
