Callide Power Station

PFAS monitoring

CS Energy is monitoring the impact of the historical use of firefighting foams containing PFAS at our power stations. This work is part of a program with the Department of Environment and Science (DES) to map and manage historical use of PFAS across Queensland.

We are focussing our attention on our Callide Power Station PFAS monitoring program.

Testing was also undertaken at Kogan Creek Power Station in 2020 and while PFAS was identified in some locations, they were below the guideline limit for drinking water.

The health of the community and our employees is CS Energy’s key priority and will guide our actions.
