CS Energy is a Queensland-owned and based energy company that provides reliable and competitively priced electricity.
We generate and sell electricity in the National Electricity Market (NEM) where we have a trading portfolio of more than 3,500 megawatts. We are proud to power some of Queensland's biggest industries and employers.
Our purpose is Delivering energy today, powering your tomorrow. It captures the dual nature of what we aim to do – run a successful thermal generation business and evolve into a diversified energy company.
This evolution of our business is critical as Australia's energy landscape changes in response to renewable generation, technology innovation, and a rise in the active, involved energy customer.
CS Energy operates the thermal Kogan Creek and Callide power stations, and we trade energy generated by the Gladstone Power Station, in excess of the requirements of the Boyne Island aluminium smelter.
We also have renewable energy offtakes with the Kennedy Energy Park, Columboola Solar Farm and UQ's Warwick Solar Farm.
In the retail market, we have a 50/50 joint venture with Alinta Energy to supply electricity to customers in South East Queensland, and we provide retail services to large commercial and industrial customers throughout Queensland.
Our coal assets are the Kogan Creek Mine, which supplies coal to the Kogan Creek Power Station, and the undeveloped Glen Wilga and Haystack Road coal resources near Chinchilla.
A community member
We employ more than 550 people who live and work in the Queensland communities where we operate. At our power station sites our people are locals, and our sites contribute to regional economies.
An equal opportunity employer
Our people are the lifeblood of our business. They’re a diverse mix of talented, skilled and committed people, from accomplished leaders to new graduates. To keep our business on track for future success we’re building a culture that empowers our people to pursue new ways to think and work, and that attracts the best talent.
