We’re delivering energy today, powering your tomorrow.
CS Energy’s core business is to generate and sell electricity in the National Electricity Market (NEM).
We’re a major provider of energy to Australian households and businesses, dispatching more than 35 percent of Queensland’s electricity, and more than 10 percent in the NEM.
A diverse, competitive business
We’re constantly looking for ways to deliver value for our shareholders and customers through an approach that balances safety, environment and commercial obligations.
We do this through our diverse asset portfolio and our commercial ventures. We operate two coal-fired power stations and a hydroelectric station. We also maintain coal assets and have a trading portfolio in the NEM of 4,105 megawatts.
Through our 50/50 retail joint venture with Alinta Energy we supply electricity to customers in South East Queensland. We’re a party to an agreement that allows us to trade energy generated by the Gladstone Power Station.
And, we're helping to facilitate renewable energy in Queensland through our offtake agreement with the Kennedy Energy Park.
A community member
Almost 500 CS Energy employees live and work throughout Queensland. At our power station sites at Kogan, Callide and Wivenhoe our people are locals, and our sites contribute to the regions' economies.
An equal opportunity employer
Our people are the lifeblood of our business. They’re a diverse mix of talented, skilled and committed people, from accomplished leaders to new graduates. To keep our business on track for future success we’re building a culture that empowers our people to pursue new ways to think and work, and that attracts the best talent.
