CS Energy has partnered with leading industry organisations on a $206 million clean coal demonstration project.
The Callide Oxyfuel Project aims to prove how two technologies can be combined to achieve near zero greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fired electricity generation. The demonstration project will also assess potential commercial applications of the technologies.
Six partners are collaborating on the Callide Oxyfuel Project and financial support has been sourced from these organisations, along with the Australian Government's Low Emissions Technology Demonstration Fund, the Australian Coal Association's COAL21 Fund and the Queensland Government.
The Callide Oxyfuel Project has been recognised as a project of significance by the Asia Pacific Partnership on Clean Development and Climate.
