Research Development

CS Energy commits considerable resources to research and development, focusing on realistic technologies that reduce the power industry’s impact on the natural environment.

Our current target areas are:

  • Clean coal technologies
CS Energy is at the forefront of clean coal research in Australia through the Callide Oxyfuel Project.  This demonstration project aims to prove two technologies for achieving deep cuts in greenhouse emissions at a coal-fired power station.

  • Renewable energy research
Our involvement in the Bio-energy Task Force has resulted in projects such as ReOrganic Energy Swanbank, and Biomass Co-firing at the Swanbank Power Station.
