Since 1998, we have supported the development of local businesses and industry in Australia through its purchasing policy.
At the initial procurement stage, the principles of open and effective competition are applied. Fair and equal treatment is given to local submissions.
When considering offers, we give preference to locally sourced goods and services, on a basis where price, performance, quality and suitability compare favourably.
A de-briefing session is also available for local businesses that are not successful in their tenders, providing reasons why they were not competitive and suggsting how they may improve their competitive position.
INDUSTRY PARTICIPATION PLANS
The current CS Energy purchasing policy was developed in 1998, with Section Four dedicated to the development of local business and industry. This policy supports the Queensland Government's Local Content Policy.
