Kogan Creek Power Station

The $1.2 billion project to construct Kogan Creek Power Station and Kogan Mine was the biggest CS Energy has ever undertaken and at its peak in 2006, was the largest construction project in Queensland, taking around four million work hours and over 1000 people to see it to completion.

Completed in 2007, it comprised a 750 megawatt, coal-fired power station near Chinchilla in south west Queensland and an open cut coal mine four kilometres away.

A consortium of Siemens-Hitachi constructed the project on behalf of CS Energy.
