How we generate revenue
CS Energy generates its income by selling electricity into the National Electricity Market (NEM) from the Callide, Kogan Creek, Wivenhoe and Gladstone power stations.
We sell electricity two ways in the NEM – in the spot market, where prices are calculated every five minutes and settled half hourly, and in the contract market, where we enter into financial contracts that lock in a fixed price for electricity.
