Swanbank

Swanbank Power Station, located nine kilometres from the heart of Ipswich, Southeast Queensland, comprises both coal-fired and gas-fired generating units.

On 26 March 2010, CS Energy announced it would progressively close the coal-fired Swanbank B, the older of its two Ipswich stations, by 2012.  The newer, gas-fired Swanbank E will continue operating well into the future.
