Chinchilla Community Benefits Trust

Making a positive difference

The Chinchilla Community Benefits Trust was established in 2004 during the construction of CS Energy's Kogan Creek Power Station.

CS Energy and the Western Downs Regional Council are joint trustees, awarding community grants to local community organisations every two years.

Over the last 11 years, the CS Energy-funded Trust has provided almost $1 million projects that enhance the economic, cultural and social development of the Chinchilla area.

Focus areas for the Trust are projects that support

  • Community infrastructure (facilities and services)
  • Skills, education, training and youth development
  • Safety, health and wellbeing
  • Environment and sustainability.
