Procurement information
Everyday operations
The CS Energy Supply and Contracts team manages all procurement and supply activities for the company and its joint venture partners, including strategic sourcing, contracts management, purchasing, supply operations, inventory management and supply business systems.
This is achieved by adopting a portfolio approach to supply and contracts; complying with our procurement policy, Code of Conduct and other related policies; embracing the intent of the Queensland State Government Procurement Policy, and proactively identifying and responding to our customers' requirements.
For frequently used products and services, CS Energy utilises existing Queensland Government standing offer arrangements, which are listed on the Queensland Government Marketplace. We also use the Queensland Government’s new e-tendering website, which allows government and other suppliers to review current and planned tenders.

Major projects
For major CS Energy projects like new power stations, our main construction contractors generally handle the procurement of goods and services.
Our major project contractors must comply with the Queensland Government’s Local Industry Policy, which provides local business with the opportunity to tender for project goods, services, technology and equipment.
Businesses are given the opportunity to register their interest in supplying goods and services for a project through websites such as Industry Capability Network Queensland.
Information on CS Energy construction projects is also published on the Queensland Government Marketplace website.
As we commit to new projects, we’ll post links here to our major project contractors’ websites.
