The physical and mental wellbeing of our employees is vital to CS Energy’s success.
We combine compulsory procedures for key on-site risks with a range of optional programs promoting healthy lifestyles and work/life balance.
Fit for duty
Our Fit for Duty system manages safety risks relating to alcohol and other drugs and fatigue. It aims to ensure no one on site poses an unacceptable safety risk to themselves or others.
Random drug and alcohol testing is conducted all of our sites and procedures to prevent staff fatigue are in place. When trialling the program, we provided awareness sessions to all staff on alcohol, drugs and fatigue to assist them at home and work.
The fit for duty system applies to staff, contractors and visitors.

Health at work and home
CS Energy offers several programs to help staff manage their physical and mental health, including:
- Free, independent, confidential counselling for staff and their families
- A Healthy Cycling program to improve the safety of staff cycling to work and encourage more staff to take up the sport
- Free health assessments to all executives and staff over 50
- Pre-employment medicals.
