The Callide Power Project was a 50/50 joint venture with InterGen Australia, an entity jointly owned by InterGen and China Huaneng Group (CHG). It was the Queensland electricity industry's first public-private partnership.

As the largest gas user in Queensland, CS Energy has been assisting in the commercialisation of a range of gas resources for the State through innovative gas supply agreements with Arrow Energy, Mosaic Oil and Queensland Gas Company. CS Energy has a direct investment in the Kogan North coal seam methane project with Arrow Energy.
